Synopsis du film

La tante du célèbre avocat Bryan Beckett décède dans des circonstances mystérieuses, lui laissant en héritage une grande maison dans la banlieue de New York. Ignorant la rumeur selon laquelle la maison est hantée, il emménage chez elle, mais malgré son scepticisme devient témoin de phénomènes paranormaux. Des scientifiques de renom n'arrivant pas à expliquer le mystère, Bryan choisit alors de faire appel à une médium, et ensemble, ils exploreront les secrets enfouis dans cette maison et dans le cerveau troublé de l'avocat sceptique...
